Current Awareness
The Knowledge Resources department has been providing current awareness services to primary care staff since 2001.
The department currently offers the following monthly bulletins:
- Knowledge Resources News and Information Bulletin - a monthly bulletin, updating primary care staff on health-related news, developments, publications, NICE guidelines, plus updates about the Knowledge Resources service and a Hot Topic.
- New Resources Bulletins – monthly updates of additions to the library stock.
- Themed Resources Bulletins – periodic updates of resources on particular public health and social care topics e.g., Social Marketing, Learning Disabilities, etc.,
- Knowledge Management Briefings – these are produced by the department (supported by Clinical Audit) for the Board and PEC, with references to the latest NICE guidance and healthcare policies for action and information.
Please note the Knowledge Mangagement Briefings ceased publication in September 2011.

We can also advise clients on how to set up RSS newsfeeds in NHS Evidence.
